Malcolm Fairweather grew up in Broward County, part of a Bahamian-American family that’s been in South Florida for three generations, going back to relatives who worked the produce boats between Nassau and Fort Lauderdale. He spent eleven years driving and running crews for two other Broward County moving companies before saving up enough to buy a truck of his own, and in 2013 he named that first small crew “Allied” simply because it’s a word he’d always connected with people working together and having each other’s back on a job, not a nod to any other moving company that happens to share part of the name. Allied One Moving has no relationship, franchise agreement, or affiliation with any other business called “Allied,” large or small; it’s an independently owned and operated Plantation crew that drives its own trucks, employs its own people, and answers its own phone.

Allied One By the Numbers

  • 13 years running routes across Broward County
  • 16 people on the team, 10 of them movers riding the trucks
  • 14 communities served, from Sunrise to Lauderdale Lakes

From Call To Move-In

What To Expect

Four steps, same crew the whole way — here is what actually happens once you call us about a Plantation move.

1

Priya Walks The Job With You

A quick call or a short in-home visit is enough for her to note the room count, any access issues, and the date you have in mind.

2

You Get One Number, In Writing

By the time you hang up, you'll know the crew size, the truck size, and what materials are included — and none of it changes on move day just because the job runs a little different than expected.

3

Move Day Starts With Padding, Not Boxes

Doorframes and stair corners get wrapped first, then furniture — the crew carries pieces to the truck by hand rather than sliding them across a dolly ramp and hoping for the best.

4

You Point, They Place It

Furniture goes where you tell the crew to put it, boxes land in the labeled room, and the wrapping paper and pads leave with the truck instead of piling up in your garage.

Broward-Grown Since 2013

Why Plantation Calls Us Back

Malcolm Still Answers The Phone

Thirteen years in, the guy whose name is on the trucks still writes a good share of the estimates. Dwayne and Rafael have each run Broward County crews for the better part of a decade — nobody on the job is a name you're meeting for the first time on move day.

Awkward Pieces Don't Slow Us Down

A piano needs a board, straps, and someone who has muscled one down a staircase before — and that's exactly what shows up. Gun safes, sectionals, anything that won't clear a doorway sideways gets the same planning: right equipment, right crew, no last-minute scramble.

Headed Out Of FL?

Same crew, same truck, no handoff — whoever loads your things in Plantation also drives the route and carries them into the new place, whether that is a short run to Orlando or the long haul up to New York.

Questions We Get Most

Allied One Moving answers these on nearly every call from Plantation, FL.

How long has Allied One Moving been in business?

Since 2013, when Malcolm Fairweather saved up enough to buy his first truck and start his own crew.

Is Allied One Moving related to any other moving company with "Allied" in the name?

No. Allied One Moving is an independently owned and operated Plantation crew with no relationship, franchise agreement, or affiliation with any other business using a similar "Allied" name.

Do you subcontract any part of the move?

Never. Malcolm hires and trains every mover who works for the company, puts them on payroll, and keeps the same faces on a route from pickup through delivery — nobody gets handed off to a driver we've never met.

Who will I talk to when I call the office?

Most calls go to Keisha Alvarado, who runs the scheduling board, or Priya Ramnarine, who handles most in-home estimate walkthroughs.
